La Grange baseball hanging in

The La Grange High School baseball team is working on grinding out a winning record as they sit just below the .500 mark and have an even record right on the dot in district play. Head coach Robert Barber has athletes who know how to play the game, it’s just a matter of putting all the pieces together for an entire game in order to produce wins, which they’ve proven they can do throughout the season.

Weimar struggles vs Ganado in baseball

WEIMAR — Weimar Wildcats baseball took a loss to Ganado High School April 5 at Veteran’s Park in Weimar by a final score of 19-4. The Indians poured it on the entire game with tons of hitting and Weimar wasn’t able to overcome the big deficit. "The first round, we came back and beat them in nine innings,” said Weimar head baseball coach Colton Maiorka. “It’s always a hard fought game when we play Ganado. This time around, they were out for blood. They came out and put it on us pretty good tonight, so we got to go back and win the next three hard games and hopefully get in the playoffs. That’s what our goal is for right now.”
