FAYETTEVILLE - Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS) is thrilled to announce an upcoming painting workshop with Eric Jacobsen. Learn to paint expressive still life in oil or acrylic, loosen up your style, and give life and energy to your paintings!
Jacobsen will guide participants through the process of setting up a still life, focusing on overall design, appropriate lighting, material selection, and placement. The workshop will cover composition, color, edges, and the use of expressive brushstrokes. Participants can further enhance their work by paying attention to composition, values, temperature, and paint quality. Beginner to advanced students are welcome. The atmosphere will be informal and friendly, so come and enjoy your time painting still life in a supportive and fun environment.
The workshop will be held from Thursday, May 10, through Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Schmid ARTS Annex at 105 Main St. in Fayette ville.
