BELLVILLE — Diane F. Kramer, a published author, presented her book for a personal reading and signing at the Story Peddler Bookstore on April 27 in Bellville.
Kramer's first book, Second Lives: The Journey of Brain-Injury Survivors and Their Healers, was a collaboration with the late Neurologist Ralph B. Lilly, M.D. about Lilly’s own struggles with a traumatic brain injury and other stories about his patients and their healers.
After Dr. Lilly's death, Kramer fin ished the book with the help of Lilly’s wife, Joyce Stamp Lilly, and still retained the uniqueness of the way Lilly weaved his own experiences centered on behavior, memory, cognition, and emotion after brain injuries.
