BELLVILLE Michele Rene Bryan, 58, of Florida, was recently arrested following an attempted fraudulent check-cashing scheme. However, not before taking Bellville officers on a chase on Farm-to-Market Road 456 toward Buckhorn.
The officers responded to a call from the First National Bank of Bellville on Oct. 28 about a female trying to cash a fraudulent check. The suspect left before officers. Her vehicle was found on FM 1456, but she refused to stop and began throwing checks out the window.
She stopped on Jackson Road with the help of the Austin County Sheriff’s Office.
