The Rice High School boy’s basketball team has had a great season under head coach John Hunter, who has tons of athletes but also knows the game of basketball really well and takes advantage of the talented roster he has by setting them for success with his great schemes. The Raiders went 23-7 overall for the regular season with a dazzling record of 12-2 in district play.
Rice has won their last four games in a row and seem like they are on a mission to win more with the kind of season they had. In basketball, it always helps when you’re athletic, but if you have the coaching to go along with it, it’s a great recipe for success and this team has shown that they can put two and two together. As Rice continues to produce athletes with Hunter calling the shots, the Raiders will likely keep this kind of success going for years to come.
