The Fayetteville boy’s basketball team’s great season came to an end last Friday as they were defeated by Brookeland High School with a final score of 79- 70. The Lions had another stellar season after making it to state the year before and nearly made it back again this year. Fayetteville is known for their great guard play and depth at every position, as well as their ability to shoot the long range shot.
They also move the ball around very well and have a great coach in Jake Diggs, who knows how to set his team up for success schematically and it pays off with the chemistry and togetherness of this team.
Fayetteville has a solid number of returners for next year, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them make another deep run in the ’25-’26 season.
