LA GRANGE — Eight exceptional women were honored during the League of Women Voters of South Central Texas’ Women Making History event on March 9 at the Casino Hall in La Grange. Nominees were selected in categories including courage, determination, heritage, heroism, initiative, steadfastness and vision.
This year, the celebration included three area high school students who were selected on their individual essays about influential women in Texas history.
