Columbus Garden Club prepares for annual plant sale

COLUMBUS — A wonderful gift to the Columbus Garden Club and the Columbus community has arrived just in time for the club’s annual plant sale at Brookshire Brothers Saturday, April 26 in Columbus. Club members are busily dividing and potting up many different kinds of bromeliads.

There are very large ones and smaller varieties, too. Also, there are potted up plumerias that are different colors, but unfortunately, they were not marked as to what colors.

Consider it a wonderful surprise. Of course, there will be many other plants for sun or shade for sale. And don’t forget the bake sale and the Scholarship Wagon full of gardening supplies.

Get there at 8 a.m. this Saturday to start your day of shopping and fun.

Columbus Garden Club member, front row, President Janet Johnson; and, back row, from left, Marian Schonenberg, Wanda Anglin, Nancy Galloway and Patsy Hodge have been busy potting up plants for their annual plant sale.
