Each year, Bishop Brendan Cahill of the Diocese of Victoria gives out awards to eighth graders in the Diocese who meet the criteria of a theology test, and Christian behavior in doing service for their schools, parish and community. On April 29, the St. Rose of Lima eighth grade received their certificates from Bishop Cahill at an evening Vespers prayer service and ceremony held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory in Victoria.
