COLUMBUS – The Columbus Chamber of Commerce announced the graduation of the inaugural class of Leadership Colorado County, celebrated on April 29, at Big Easy Ranch in Columbus.
Leadership Colorado County is a nine-month program designed to cultivate informed, connected, and engaged community leaders. From September through May, participants meet monthly to explore key aspects of life in Colorado County, including government, education, healthcare, business, public safety, agriculture, and community development.
The first graduating class in - cludes Shannon Binder, Jessica Coufal, Peggy Harrison, Amy Maxwell, Mike Meier, LaPorchia Miller, James Wegenhoft and Mandy Wright.
All completed the full program and left with a deeper understanding of the county, a stronger professional network, and tools they can apply at work, in community service, and in their personal lives.
Becky Nutt, executive director of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, has worked diligently to bring this program to life during her two years with the chamber. Her leadership and dedication were instrumental in turning the idea into a successful, impactful experience for local professionals.
The chamber extends thanks to all community leaders, speakers, and site hosts who made this year a success, and to Big Easy Ranch for providing a beautiful setting for graduation. Also, a big thankyou to Kristina Hill, Columbus Physical Therapy for speaking at graduation.
