Tribute to fallen law enforcement

COLUMBUS - National Police Week was observed on May 15 at the Colorado County Courthouse in Columbus. This event honors and supports law enforcement, especially those officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. It acknowledges their sacrifices to the community they served.

Established in 1962 by Pres - ident John F. Kennedy, National Police Week is a time to show support for law enforcement and their families and helps raise awareness within the communi -

ties about the dangers faced by law enforcement while maintain -

ing public safety.
