The Schulenburg High School baseball team has kept their stellar season alive with recent wins against Danbury High School by winning two games in a best of three series. The Shorthorns lost the first game by a score of 4-0, then won the next two games with scores of 5-0 and 2-1. They also beat Kenedy, Pre mont and Johnson City in order to reach the state semis.
Schulenburg has great leadership with a bunch of seniors and they also have a good core of both under and upperclassmen. Head coach Isaiah Barrera has lit a fire under this team and it's paying off with finding ways to win games.
The Shorthorns now have a great chance to make history and bring home a state championship.
Schulenburg will meet up against Centerville today, Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30 at Caldwell High School at 6 p.m.
If needed will play Saturday, May 31 at 6 p.m.
