Contestants are being sought for the Colorado County Fair Membership Queen, Fair Queen, and Junior Queen contests to be held at the Colorado County Fairgrounds on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Girls between the ages of 11 to 14, as of Sept. 1, are eligible to enter the Junior Queen Contest.
Requirements include an entry fee of $50, selling at least 25 Season Passes to the fair, a recent headshot photo, and formal attire.
Girls between the ages of 15 to 18, as of Sept. 1, are eligible to enter Colorado County Fair Membership Queen and Fair Queen contests. Requirements include an entry form and fee of $75. A recent headshot, selling a minimum of 50 Season Passes to the fair, and contest dress is formal attire. All contestants are required to sell 'Pre-sale' carnival passes to the fair, which count toward the membership contestants' total sales.
Other requirements for all fair pageant contestants include, must be single, never married, live in Colorado County and represent the Colorado County Fair Association at fair events throughout the year, including riding the fair float.
Contestants are required to participate in interviews that day with out-ofcounty judges. Deadline to enter queen contests is Friday, July 11.
