Colorado County Deputy Jessie Lo- pez conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 90A near Rock Island for a traffic viola tion on May 28. During the stop, Lopez developed probable cause and searched the vehicle.
During the search, over 13 ounces of marijuana, a digital scale, Ecstasy (MDMA), THC vapes, dangerous drugs, a loaded firearm as well as a Glock switch were located inside the vehicle.
After further investigation, Gage Coronado, 22, of Columbus was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana (State Jail Felony), Unlawful Carrying a Weapon (Class A Misdemeanor), Manufactor/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG2 (1st Degree Felony) Manufactor/Delivery of a Controlled
Substance PG1 (State Jail Felony), and Prohibited Weapon (3rd Degree Felony).
Coronado was transported to the Colorado County Detention Center in Columbus where he was released to jail staff without incident.
