SEALY Sealy Police Department responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle in the 900 Block of Meyer in Sealy on May 31 at about 10:45 a.m. During the investigation, it was found that six different vehicles in the area had been burglarized.
The Sealy Police Criminal Investigation Division found that a suspect was trying to sell the stolen property from the vehicles that occured days before. Undercover Sealy officers posed as potential buyers of the stolen property and arrested Cedric Cortez Brown, 29, of Houston for theft and possession of a controlled substance, both carrying felony charges. During the bust, stolen property from the other burglaries and illegal narcotics were in his vehicle.
