Baseball teams to watch in 2026:
FAYETTEVILLE
After another state title this past year, Fayetteville will more than likely be just as good, if not better in ’26.
Head coach Clint Jaeger is building a dynasty and he’s doing it with underclassmen getting quality experience as well as his juniors and seniors performing at a state tournament caliber level.
This team’s togetherness is at an all time high and it’s been that way for some years now.
The Lions did have a lot of senior leadership this year, but they’re known for playing elite baseball with younger talent as they’ve won at the highest level just a few years ago with a very young team.
They’ll have six seniors graduating this year, but they’ll have pitching ace and power hitter Jack Schley returning as a senior, so there’s a good chance Schley and company will be right back in state championship contention once again under Jaeger’s watch.
