TC Academy names Poer

Cadet Devon Poer, of Kerrville, was named Cadet of the Cycle at Texas Challenge Academy during its recent graduation ceremony at the Texas Challenge Academy facility in Eagle Lake. Poer, left, was presented the award by TCA Cadre Supervisor Benjamin Moore. Poer will be returning to his high school for his senior year after which he intends to join the U.S. Marine Corps. All cadets attend the TCA facility for five and a half months and then return home to begin the follow-up phase of its program, which lasts another 12 months.
