The Flatonia High School boy’s basketball team recently made changes to their coaching staff and they hired from within as well to promote assistant coach Lance Giese to head coaching duties.
His son, Kade Giese, was a point guard on the team last year and was one of the better players on the team.
Flatonia was very successful under former head coach Chris Sodek with his up tempo system and Giese has carried that style of play over as head coach.
Flatonia is known for having great underclassmen and it will be the same scenario as the head into this year.
The senior leadership has also been impressive and the Bulldogs will likely be one of the better teams in the area because of it.
