Schulenburg High School will have a different look for the 2025 season as they hired new head football coach Clay Ferguson after former head coach Luke Hobbs departed to Giddings High School after two seasons.
In Ferguson’s hiring statement, he said one of the things he liked about Schulenburg is the family culture and the culture will surely make him feel good if he continues the winning that Schulenburg has endured for the last couple years.
It’s always hard to know how a head coach is going to do at a program in just their first season, but Ferguson seems to already know what it’s like to be a Shorthorn, and that will bode well for him as he looks to keep Schulenburg as a playoff and state title contender.
