ST. JOHN TO HOLD ANNUAL JULY 4 PICNIC
SCHULENBURG — St. John Parish, located at 7026 FM 957 in Schulenburg, will celebrate the 137th year of its Annual 4th of July Picnic on Friday, July 4. St. John the Baptist will hold Mass at 9 a.m. and a flag raising ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. The stew and fried chicken meal will begin serving, dine-in or take home, at 10:30 a.m. for $14 per plate. Musical entertainment begins at 10:30 a.m. A live auction will begin at 12:30 p.m. The event will include a raffle drawing at 7 p.m. and fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. The event will include beer, soda water, snow cones, hamburgers and more, country store, cake walk, ball throw, ring toss, lil diggers sandpile and more entertainment.
