CARMINE VFD TO HOLD FUNDRAISER CARMINE — The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual firemen's fundraiser Sunday, July 20 at Carmine Hall. The fried chicken dinner, drive-thru only will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out. Donations accepted as payment for the meal. Eckermann's sausage links available for $10 each. Desserts will be available. Raffle tickets will be sold.
TASTE OF COLUMBUS PLANNED
COLUMBUS - The Taste of Columbus will be held tonight (Thursday, July 10) from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Southern Oaks Event Center at 1368 Highway 71 Business in Columbus. Purchase raffle tickets and wristbands at your local club. Wristbands are $10 for children and $20 for adults. Raffle tickets are $5 for one or $20 for a book of five. Proceeds to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Champion Valley.
MORAVIA PARISH PICNIC PLANNED
MORAVIA - Moravia Ascension Parish Picnic will be held Sunday, July 20 at the church in Moravia. The stew and kettle fried chicken meal will be served at 11 a.m. at $14 per plate. Drive-thru plates to go will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be a country store, cake walk at noon, games, games, auction sale at 1 p.m., and bingo from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be hamburgers, refreshments and entertainment on the picnic grounds. A drawing will be held at 7 p.m. Music will be by Mark Halata & Texavia, and The Fender Bender Band.
ST. MICHAEL PLANS HARVEST FEAST WEIMAR - St. Michael Catholic Church Harvest Feast will be held Sunday, Aug. 10 at Veteran's Memorial Hall in Weimar. The fried chicken and stew dinner will be $15 per plate. Serving starts at 11 a.m. Pick-up, and picnic drive-thru and go will be available at St. Michael's Family Center in Weimar. The event will include Mass at 10:30 a.m., auction at 1 p.m., Bingo from 2 to 5 p.m., country store, treasure chest, ring toss, antique and classic car show, famous picnic burgers, snow cones, snack bar, fish pond, train ride, Plinko, ball throw and more. There will be a cornhole tournament at 4:30 p.m. Free dancing and music from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with entertainment by Shiner Hobo Band, The Lost Cause Band and Southbound 955. There will be a drawing for sweepstakes prizes.
TRI-COUNTY FRIENDS OF NRA 2025 EVENT SCHULENBURG - The 21st Annual Tri-County Friends of NRA event will be held Friday, July 25 at the Schulenburg KC Hall in Schulenburg. SENIORS TOGETHER SOCIAL SCHEDULE Seniors Together, a place for senior's, 55 years or older to socialize with others is held every first and third Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Lighthouse Fellowship Hall at 201 Veteran's Dr. in Columbus. and at the Weimar Civic Center in Weimar on the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The events includes card games, board games, Bingo with prizes, coffee and tea, movies, lunch provided, educational speakers, field trips including trips to casinos and social gathering.
