
St. John the Baptist Parish near Schulenburg celebrated its 137th year on July 4. A huge crowd came dressed to impress, like Gonzales residents, Greg and Joan Griffin, who attend the event every year. The massive crowd reveled in celebrating the Fourth of July with this annual event. These picnickers decided to take the heat in stride and enjoy the ambience of an old-fashioned picnic, while others sought out the air-conditioned hall.
