New wing on fellowship hall opens with blessing

COLUMBUS — The Lighthouse Fellowship Hall of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus quickly outgrew its floor space since the recently constructed building had an influx of kids from the community attending its BLAST bible study sessions on Wednesdays, and several community organizations, such as the Seniors Together group and the Columbus Garden Club, meet regularly in the hall.

St. Paul Lutheran Church believes in embracing the community as a whole and had the foresight to build the new addition to the existing new hall with calling all organizations and businesses to look toward the Lighthouse when thinking of holding a conference or monthly meetings.

The additional rooms and storage space came under $700K with Brushy Creek Construction as the general contractor. The expansive new wing, from groundbreaking to the blessing, took only seven months. In total, St. Paul Lutheran Church has invested over a million dollars in The Lighthouse and its new addition to serve the community of Columbus.
