Fall Horticulture Seminar slated

SEALY — The Horticulture Committee of Austin County and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County will be hosting a Fall Horticulture Seminar on Friday, Aug. 29, at American Legion Post #442 located at 1630 Meyer St. in Sealy. Program registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the first presentation beginning at 9 a.m.

Information to be covered includes Planting & Maintenance of Fruit & Citrus Trees by Dr.

Stephanie Adams, Extension Program Specialist, Fall Gardening by Stephen Brueggerhoff, Brazos County Horticulture Agent, and Growing Backyard Berries by Stephan Janak, Extension Program Specialist.

The program will cost $20 per person or $35 per couple. Please RSVP to the Austin County Ex- tension Office at 979-865-2072 or online at https://austin.agrilife. org/event-registrations/ to reserve your seat.

If you purchase a tree from the Bluebonnet Master Gardener Fruit & Citrus Tree sale, you will receive a $5 discount on the program. The tree sale will begin at 8 a.m. outside the American Legion and will continue until sold out.
