Incoming sophomore Karlee Mathis has joined other former Columbus Lady Cardinals Mayson Post and Molly Olivarez on the Concordia University softball team in Austin.
Mathis was known for being a great pitcher as a Lady Cardinal and has also taken the circle for the Tornadoes at the college level.
Mathis recorded nine wins as a freshman and also contributed at the plate as well. She had multiple games in the 2025 season where she recorded a hit and even had a game where she recorded three hits in a win vs McMurry.
Mathis is a natural athlete, taking Columbus to a state basketball championship with her sharp shooting and elite guard play and also made the softball team a state title contender during her time there, taking the Lady Cardinals to many deep playoff runs. Mathis has already impressed at the college level and the best is yet to come as she is still an underclassman.
