COLUMBUS — Little Miss, Little Mr., and Junior Miss Contests slated for Sept. 6.
The Colorado County Fair Association welcomes the youth of Colorado County to compete in the Colorado County Fair Little Miss., Little Mr., and Junior Miss pageant contests.
The contests will be held at the Colorado County Fairgrounds at the Founder's Hall on Saturday, Sept. 6, starting at 5:30 p.m. The Junior Misswill begin at 6 p.m.
Little Miss and Little Mr. contests are for children 5, 6, or 7 years of age as of Sept 1, and the Junior Miss Contest follows with contestants being 8, 9, or 10 years by Sept. 1.
Contestants must reside in Colorado County to participate in the contest.
The contest entry fee is $25 and consists of an on-stage interview before a panel of out-ofcounty judges. Western attire is optional, yet recommended, with the score being 90 percent on stage personality and 10 percent appearance.
Contest winners must be available to ride the fair float in area parades and participate in fair events, and parents are required to help maintain and dec- orate the fair float.
Little Miss and Little Mr. contestants should check in at the fairgrounds hall no later than 5 p.m., and Junior Miss contestants check in at 5:15 p.m.
