Luther Hill structure destroyed by fire under investigation

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported on the afternoon of Aug. 16, around 1:58 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on Luther Hill Road near FM 2145. The La Grange Fire Department responded along with Fayette County EMS Medic Unit 1, EMS 3 Supervisor, and deputies James Ulbig and Cody Williams. It was reported a structure was fully engulfed. The Round Top–Warrenton Fire Department also assistanced. The fire was contained and extinguished. The State Fire Marshall’s office was requested to determine the cause of the fire, which was undetermined at the time of the fire.
