Teddy Thomas retires from Fayette County Sheriff's Office

BELLVILLE — Teddy Thomas retired from his position as a reserve deputy with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office after 15 years.

Thomas began his law enforcement career with the Houston Police Depart- ment in 1975, where he spent 29 years, primarily working as a detective in homicide investigations. He retired from HPD in 2005 and became a reserve dep uty for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Of- fice in 2010, where he assisted deputies, investigators, helping with court and the day-to-day operations, working nearly a full-time schedule in an unpaid volun- teer position, as per the sheriff's office.
