LA GRANGE — The Bluebonnet Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn educational program is a series of nine informational meetings designed to provide gardening or general landscaping for homeowners.
Fayette County Master Gardeners plan and present a variety of information from experts in the area and across the state.
This series is designed with the professional in mind. Bring your lunch and learn about a variety of topics that help you have a more productive garden, prettier flower beds, or better understand your landscape ecosystems.
The topic this month, “Salad Gardening,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9, and the guest speaker is Bluebonnet Master Gardener Gerald DuPont. Growing your own vegetables means a better and fresher salad. A variety of greens and salad toppings are best grown in the fall/winter garden.
Learn hints and tips for making your salad garden more productive, whether in containers or in the ground.
Registration begins at 11:50 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. and the program lasts until 12:50 p.m. The Lunch-N-Learn Series is held at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Ln. in La Grange. All Master Gardener Lunch-N-Learn programs are
