The Schulenburg High School football team started the season on a great note with not only a blowout win, but a shoutout win vs Sacred Heart High School with a final score of 42-0.
Schulenburg was really good the past two years under Luke Hobbs, who is now at Giddings, and Ferguson has taken over the helm with a statement win in his first game and seems to have this team still in winning form.
With a win like this, the Shorthorns are in great shape and even though it's only the first game of the the year, this is a great start and a great sign for a team that is starting fresh with a new head coach. The Shorthorns will definitely be a team to keep an eye on throughout the season.
