INDUSTRY — The Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA) of Austin County recently gathered for its 2025 Awards Banquet and Officer Installation Ceremo ny, held in August at Industry City Hall in Industry.
The event was hosted by the West EEA Club and carried an "apple" theme in honor of the many years of service contributed by mem bers across the county. This year’s banquet highlighted and celebrated members for their outstanding service and dedication as members.
Members recognized were: Betty Lehmann, Betty Thiel, Delores Kuehn, and Mary Smentek each for 20 years' service; Joyce Amthor for five years' service; Kath leen Halpin, Jinnie Kolojaco, Morgan Kolojaco, and Fran- cis Plagens each for one year.
In addition to the service recognitions, new officers were officially installed to serve Austin County EEA for the 20252026 term were President Joan Buenger, Vice President Jessie Kokemor, Recording Secretary Judy Schulz, Treasurer Shirley Beum, Corresponding Sec retary Gaye Farr, Reporter/ Historian Judy Schulz, and Parliamentarian Knellen Quinteros

Cultural Arts - Barney Zimmerman/Gaye Farr, Community Service Judy Schulz/Danita Scho vajsa, Expansion - Knellen Quinteros/Doris Glenew- inkel/Jessie Kokemor, and Care and Concern Jo Ann Reichle/Danita Schovajsa.
The afternoon was filled with recognition, fellowship, and optimism for the year ahead. Austin County EEA extends congratulations to all honorees and newly installed leaders and looks forward to another successful year.
