MOULTON — Father Gabriel and the Parishioners of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton, invites the public to their annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 21, at St. Joseph's Social Center, located on the church grounds.
The celebration begins with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church.
The picnic meal features Moulton's famous fried chicken and beef stew dinner with all the trimmings, beginning at 10:30 a.m. for $15 a plate.
Drive-thru plates-togo and meat-to-go will be available.
Music under the pavilion provided by Ken Brothers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A free dance inside the air-conditioned hall: music provided by Vic Rodriguez, 2 to 6 p.m. Other activities inside the Social Center will include a cake walk and Bingo from 1 to 5 p.m.
The auction will be held under the pavilion beginning at 1 p.m.
Auction items include quilts, afghans, wood-crafted and metal-crafted items, plants, livestock, antiques, homemade noodles, homecanned goods and other items.
Many more fun activities are planned for under the pavilion/on picnic grounds, including a coun- try store, plant walk, fish pond, train ride, ring toss, ball throw and other games.
A raffle drawing will be held, with $7,400 worth of gift certificates to be given away.
Plenty of refreshments, soda-pop, sno cones, popcorn and hamburgers will be on hand all afternoon.
