As Turtle Wing Foundation begins its milestone 15th year, and they want to share an update on its work and progress. Guided by their mission of “helping individuals with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential by providing access to a shared network of emotional, educational, and therapeutic resources,” this past year has been one of meaningful growth and success. Thanks to the generosity of their supporters, they’ve expanded funding for services and strengthened its provider network—reaching hundreds more families with children who face learning challenges.
For those who may not know them, Turtle Wing serves as a vital resource hub. They connect families to the services and support they need to help their children thrive. Beyond bridging families to providers in the community, most of its funding goes directly toward helping families afford care.
From therapeutic and educational support to recreational opportunities, Turtle Wing provides a wraparound approach for families in Fayette, Lavaca and Colorado counties.
In this past fiscal year alone, Turtle Wing funded over 9,000 sessions of services ranging from speech therapy, to tutoring, to inclusive dance classes for over 320 individuals with learning challenges.
As they begin their 15th year, they not only celebrate the successes that brought them here but also embrace the opportunity to transform even more lives in the years ahead.
