Remember when...
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) observe Constitution Day each year on Sept. 17, commemorating the anniversary of its signing in 1787. The John Everett Chapter encourages all citizens to read it, as well as the 27th Amendment, to know their rights. The chapter donated Constitution Day packets to all eighth graders in the Columbus area.
Additionally, the book, Texas Before the Lone Star, compiled by the Texas Society of the DAR, was also donated to each group.
