AUSTIN COUNTY - The Austin County Sher - iff's Office Special Inves tigations Unit assisted the Houston Police Major Offenders Division in the location and apprehension of two suspects thought to be in the Austin County area.
The two suspects, iden- tified as Thaddius Goins, 36, and Rataski Goins, 35, of Houston, are suspects in multiple “juggings” in the Austin, Houston and San Antonio area. An ACSO K9 Unit lo cated and stopped the pair on Interstate 10 near the 724-mile marker. They were arrested and charged with four counts of unlawful use of a criminal instrument and fraudulent use/ possession of identifying information. Subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Jugging refers to a crime in which the criminals watch for individuals withdrawing large amounts of cash from a bank or ATM, follow them to another location and steal their money, either by breaking into the vehicle or direct rob- bery. Always be watchful of your surroundings.
