The Colorado County Elections Office is pleased to introduce Michelle Cates Karr, serving her home community of Weimar, Precinct 201.
Raised in Colorado County, Karr returned to raise her own family and quickly found herself drawn to public service.
Karr began her involvement in elections in 2024, seeking to better understand the voting process.
What started as a learning opportunity quickly became a passion.
"I first got involved in elections in 2024 because I wanted to see how the process really worked,” said Karr. “What I thought would just be a learning experience turned into something I truly enjoy being part of. I want voters to know that voting in Colorado County is well-run and reliable, and I encourage everyone to get involved, you might be surprised by how rewarding it is.”
Karr serves the Weimar Early Voting location and on Election Day.
