The Round Top-Carmine High School volleyball team has had a tough start to the year with a record way below .500, which is very unlike this program especially with a coach like Catie Weishuhn at the helm, and her coaching abilities shouldn’t be put into question.
Weishuhn has had a ton of success as a head coach in not just volleyball, but basketball as well, and this year’s struggles in volleyball seem more like an inexperience issue than anything else.
This team still has good athletes and they definitely have the potential as well as the coaching to go on a run with most of the month of October to go and then the playoffs in November.
If there’s any team in the area that can dig themselves out of a hole like this, Round Top-Carmine volleyball should be among the teams mentioned in that conversation.
