Hydration and Health talk led by EEA member

AUSTIN — During September, EEA, which is a direct part of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, conducted an educational program on the importance of hydration for seniors. This important health topic was highlighted during the TEEA State meeting held in Abilene. The program was conducted by North Austin County EEA member Jessie Kokemor, who shared valuable information on how aging affects the body's ability to rec- ognize thirst and retain fluids.

She emphasized that dehydration in older adults can lead to serious health issues such as urinary tract infections, confusion, kidney complications, and increased risk of falls.
