Austin County EEA gives back to local nonprofits

The Extension Education Association (EEA) of Austin County, in partnership with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, recently distributed proceeds from its annual barbecue fundraiser to several local nonprofit organizations. This year’s donations were awarded to the West End Community Christian Organization and the food pantries in Wallis, Sealy, and Bellville.

Each year, EEA members come together not just to raise funds but to invest in the heart of their community. Their giving is driven by three core beliefs: supporting essential local services, fulfilling a sense of civic duty, and promoting long-term, positive change. By funding these vital programs, EEA helps address critical needs and build a stronger, healthier Austin County.

Purchasing a ticket to the annual EEA barbecue is more than just enjoying a good meal — it's a direct way to support meaningful work being done by a local nonprofit (EEA) in the area. Your contribution helps make a real impact on the lives of neighbors across the county.
