Lady Knights Split the Week, Eye Redemption at Pink Out Game

The Lady Knights faced a challenging week of district play, starting strong but ending with a hard-fought loss that will fuel their motivation moving forward.

On Tuesday, the Lady Knights hit the road to take on Founders Christian, coming away with an impressive three-set sweep. The third set tested their composure, but the girls dug deep to close it out in style.

One of the night’s highlights came from freshman setter Eve Hyslop, whose perfectly timed overpass kill stunned the gym into silence before erupting into cheers.

However, the Lady Knights’ winning streak came to an end on Thursday as they faced Second Baptist University-Model Memorial. Despite taking the match to four sets, the Lady Knights couldn’t secure the victory against the defending district powerhouse.

Now sitting in a key position in the standings, the Lady Knights have shifted their focus to this Tuesday’s Pink Out game at home against Kingwood Covenant—a matchup that will determine second place in district.

“The girls have worked hard and are ready to bounce back,” said the coaching staff. “We’re looking forward to competing in front of our home crowd and playing for something bigger during Pink Out.”

With their determination and energy, the Lady Knights are poised to make a strong statement in the second half of district play.
