LA GRANGE — Fayette Electric Cooperative announces its continued participation in the Government- in-Action Youth Tour, a prestigious program that sends high school students on an unforgettable, all-expenses- paid trip to Washington, D.C. This year, two students from Fayette EC’s service area will be selected to join the 2026 Youth Tour, taking place June 14–21.
One impactful way Fayette EC supports local youth is through this unique educational opportunity.
The Youth Tour experience includes visits to historic landmarks, museums, and congressional offices, where students meet with their U.S. representatives. Participants also attend Youth Day, hosted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, and enjoy special events, such as a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a scenic cruise on the Potomac River.
How to Apply To be eligible, applicants must:
• Be a high school sophomore, junior, or senior.
• Be a dependent of a Fayette EC member with permanent residence in the co-op’s service area.
