Columbus softball wins nine in a row in late February

The Columbus High School softball team had a stretch of games toward the end of Feb- ruary where they won five straight with four them being shutouts. These wins came against Smithville (12-0 final), East Bernard (3-0 final), Gon -

zales (6-2 final), Weimar (2-0 final), and La Grange (9-0 fi nal).

The Cardinals are led by first-year head coach Alfred Rosa and players such as Ally Tribe, Taylor Morrow, and Karlee Mathis.
