Last week, the Lady Knights’ unforgettable season came to a close— one filled with grit, growth, and championship pride.
The week began on a high note as the Lady Knights opened Round 2 of the playoffs against Angleton Christian, securing a three-set sweep over the two-time reigning district champions.
The sweep showcased the team’s talent, preparation, and unwavering
confidence as they con tinued their postseason push.
On Thursday, the Lady Knights faced a familiar opponent: Second Baptist University-Model Memorial, the reigning district champions, in a winner-take-all match for a spot at state. With the season series split 1–1, the stakes could not have been higher.
The Lady Knights bat- tled fiercely against one of the strongest offensive teams they had faced all season.
They delivered standout defensive stops, aggressive attacks, and even took a set from the Eagles, proving they belonged on the biggest stage. In the end, despite their relentless fight, the Lady Knights fell short, bringing their season to a close.
Even in defeat, their bond and spirit never broke.
According to the coaching staff, they never gave up on themselves or each other. They fought with heart until the very last point.
Though emotions ran high that night, the bus ride home told a different story-one filled with laughter, gratitude, and celebration of an extraordinary journey.
The Lady Knights fin ished the season proudly as area champions, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, teamwork, and belief.
Their season may have ended, but the impact they made will carry on.
