COLORADO COUNTY — Colorado County announces the official fil ing period for candidates seeking public office in the March 2026 Primary Elec - tion. The filing window opened on Nov. 8 and closes on Dec. 8.
Individuals interested in running for office must file with their respective party chair or as an independent candidate, as outlined in the Secretary of State’s Candidates Guide. While candi- dacy filings are made with party officials, all Appoint ment of Campaign Treasurer Forms and Campaign Finance Reports must be submitted to the Colorado County Election Administrator, in accordance with state regulations.
