The Schulenburg and Bellville High School volleyball teams had great seasons once again as they both made it to the state semifinals.
Unfortunately, they both lost, but it was still a great accomplishment to make it that far and these teams have been in state title contention for a bunch of years now.
Bellville lost to La Vernia in three sets by a final score of 18-25, 18-25, 16-25 and Schulen - burg also lost in three sets by a final score of 17-25, 20-25, 17-25.
Both teams should be proud of what they accomplished and these are teams that will continue to contend for state titles with the athletes they continue to bring in and the coaches in Donald Zapalac and Susan Brewer that have instilled a winning culture at their respective programs.
