COLUMBUS — The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is considering the expansion of the current four-day antlerless season in 21 counties, which includes Colorado County and those in the Post Oak Savannah and South-Central Texas area.
The proposed expansion would extend the season to 16 days. If adopted, the season dates would take effect in the 2026-2027 season. The bag limit would remain at two antlerless deer.
A public meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Colorado County EMS Building, Room 100, 305 Radio Lane, Columbus, TX, 78934.
