The Flatonia High School girl’s basketball team has continued their success into the 25-26 season with a 58-29 win over Yorktown High School last Tuesday.
Flatonia senior and Tex-as Women’s College basketball commit Summer Sodek had a huge game with 36 points, but that’s pretty normal for Sodek, who’s been known for scoring that kind of amount of points throughout her entire career at Flatonia.
Sodek also had 17 rebounds and seven steals to go along with three assists. Other top scorers were Dani Vinklarek with eight, Abbie Uzzell with eight, and Jalee Trussell with six. Trussell also had six rebounds and Vinklarek had five. Flatonia will likely be one of the better teams in the area with Sodek’s scoring and they have great role players as well.
