The Brazos High School boy’s basketball team picked up their first win of the season in their first game by a convincing margin with a 60-40 final score against Palacios High School.
Leading scorer for the Cougars was senior Haiden Hickman for 22 points. Also contributing in a big way was junior Jevan Dickerson with 14 points.
Dickerson also had seven rebounds with four steals and Hickman added eight rebounds with three assists and three steals.
Head coach Jason Tucker has run a solid program since he’s been at the helm and he’s known for having players that contribute around the perimeter as well as down low in the post.
They also know how to score and the Cougars seem like they are bound to have an at least above average year in 25-26.
