GLIDDEN - The Colora do County Narcotics Division stopped a vehicle for a traffic vi - olation in the area of Glidden at County Road 105 on Nov. 13 at about 2:50 p.m.
Investigators saw the occupants throwing items from the moving vehicle. Once located, the thrown items were determined to be narcotics and paraphernalia.
Probable cause was developed to search the vehicle, where more narcotics and paraphernalia were found along with a firearm.
Investigators arrested Samantha Mitchell, 39, of Columbus and Charles Polasek, 35, of Weimar. Mitchell was charged with possession of a controlled substance with a felony and tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair, also a felony.
Polasek was charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
