Colorado Valley Communications in lighting up the season — literally — with the launch of the first-ever Light Up Fayette County Holiday Lighting Contest!
Homes and businesses across Fayette, Colorado and Lavaca counties are invited to show off their brightest, boldest and most magical holiday displays for a chance to win cash prizes and major holiday bragging rights.
This festive community celebration is open to everyone in the CVCTX Service area, and you do not have to be a CVCTX customer to participate. Whether you love classic Christmas charm, animated displays, or dazzling creativity, we want to see your lights shine!
Important Dates
•Entry Window: Now through Monday, Dec. 15.
•People’s Choice Voting: Tuesday, Dec. 16 through Friday, Dec. 19 on the CVCTX Facebook page.
• Winners Announced: Saturday, Dec. 20 via Facebook and direct contact.
All winners will also receive a “Bragging Rights” yard sign displayed from Saturday, Dec. 20 through Monday, Jan. 5, 2026. CVCTX will deliver and pick up the sign.
How to Enter
1. Submit a photo of their holiday light display via the office Google Form or email.
2. Complete the entry form by Monday, Dec. 15.
3. Submit only one entry per household or business.
4. Ensure all photos are family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences.
Only entries received through the form with be eligible for judging.
The judging for Best Overall and Most Festive Business will be conducted by the CVCTX committee.
